Say the department has given you an assignment that no one else wantsa break-in at a small software company in the area. Say that a program has been stolen and that the investigation begins to get its own legs pretty quick, peeling back into the violent past about as fast as it moves into the future. Say that it slowly turns into the biggest case anyone has ever seen in the city of Great Reach. Huge sums of money. Characters much bigger than life. Stakes that can go no higher.
Then you can call it The God App.

From A Review
David Chacko's newest mystery novel, The God App, takes place in the the fictional city of Great Reach which is somewhere north of New York City. A world away, in other words. It's been called a separate countryHedgistanbecause of the hedge funds and other financial firms that settled in the county. They usually don't cause anyone trouble except the taxman, and he closes his eyes, too.

The first real job I ever had was on Wall Street, working in the back office of a brokerage house. I never got over it. Being at the center of screaming greed and chaos that changes minute by minute is probably as good as it gets for someone who wants to be a writer. You never have to look very far for characters, motivation, or plots after that. I hardly had to look at all when I wrote The God App.
